Marco Zanuso, 53 years old, architect, Milan
He toke part to Perchè Design by web answering to our 3 questions.

1. What does design mean to you?
design is everywhere: from socks to the city, fast trains, bar-bq, and artificial legs, but for me involves the concept of quality, so if there isn’t quality there isn’t design

2. What object do you love and what object would you like in your life?
I love dozens of objects, but if I choose I would say the iPod is beautiful, is something that never existed before, for me is a kind of manifesto of what is truly the design. I miss the flask of wine, it is now almost extinct, and I remember when I was at the university in Florence was always present on the table, simple and sophisticated at the same time.

3. What do you like and what would you like to see in your city?
I like the castle to which I am very fond of … a lot of things, which are always the usual ones: green and less of noise, less traffic, capillary and punctual transport and above all less hatred and intolerance I wish there was a sense of community, solidarity is a key word.
